As I was walking home, some older black woman, pushing a stroller asked me for $0.75 I said I didn't have any change (it was true) But I checked in my pocket a and saw I had six pennies (so it was almost true). So I said, "All I have is a few pennies." Her response was, "Its not that I wouldn't take it but that's all you have."
Now I'm mending the crotch blowout in my work pants. Maybe that woman noticed it and felt bad about asking me for $0.75.
